Batuhan Kamer Mayda is a musician, producer, and live performer born in Konya, Turkey, in 1999.
He began his musical journey in 2009 with the Ney, and transitioned to the Kanun in 2013, marking the start of his professional training. He studied at Konya Fine Arts High School, Department of Music, and continued at the Dilek Sabancı State Conservatory, majoring in Classical Turkish Music.
Motivated by a desire to explore beyond traditional forms, Mayda developed a passion for electronic music and began performing as a DJ in 2018.
In 2021, he launched the DJ MAYDA project, blending Turkish and Middle Eastern musical roots with modern electronic sounds to create a distinctive style within Sufi House, Organic House, and Ethnic House genres.
Through his live instrumental and hybrid performances, Mayda connects the ancient and the modern, the spiritual and the rhythmic. He continues to collaborate with leading international record labels.
Featuring the Kanun as the core of his performances, he aims to share the emotional depth and essence of Turkish music with audiences around the world. EN

2009 yılında “Ney” enstrümanıyla müzik hayatına başlamış, 2013 yılında “Kanun”a geçiş yaparak profesyonel müzik eğitimine adım atmıştır. Eğitimine Konya Güzel Sanatlar Lisesi Müzik Bölümü’nde başlamış, ardından Dilek Sabancı Devlet Konservatuvarı Klasik Türk Müziği Bölümü’nde sürdürmüştür.
Geleneksel formların ötesine geçme arzusuyla elektronik müziğe yönelen Mayda, 2018 yılından itibaren farklı tarzlarda DJ performansları sergilemeye başlamıştır.
2021 yılında başlattığı DJ MAYDA projesiyle, Türk ve Orta Doğu müzik köklerini modern elektronik unsurlarla birleştirerek Sufi House, Organic House ve Ethnic House türlerinde kendine özgü bir tarz yaratmıştır.
Canlı enstrümantal ve hibrit sahne performanslarıyla geleneksel ile moderni, ruhsal ile ritmik olanı buluşturan Mayda, dünyanın önde gelen plak şirketleriyle iş birliği yapmaya devam etmektedir.
